JOURNAL AND SHARED IDEAS

Trade in Imports?   I found out through a roommate that certain Arabic countries are allowed entrance with out a visa.  For me the first thought I had was not for refugees but do they have ebay or amazon and do you get charged at customs for imports from those countries??   I did email UAE to ask and local Arab committees  if they knew what the tariff is?  I also emailed the Ecuadorian customs office to find out.  Hope I hear from them.  Just that if you order something from USA that is USD $10.00 they might charge you USD $120.00 at customs.

Busy Day:       Much paperwork to do.  Plus trying to get a budget that will fit all the work need to do in a weeks time.    Very infuriating to think about how much I have to do and to be honest I'm trying to find out about a diseased sister of mine.  I use to have every thing organized and boxed that was stolen in 1997, then finally returned in 2014.  I failed to to rip them open all at once do to the emotional trauma of crying and reminiscing at the same time.   Only to have a pack of asshole re-steal it, which I did not see that coming do to the false belief in manners.  So here I go again back in South America to work on how to go about getting the predators involved arrested.   To me it is safer here and quieter with less break in then USA.

No Bacteria Please     The last place I stayed was a work for free food and lodging.  It was friendly but.. lots of foot traffic and I did get cholera.  So I splurged and currently am staying in a shared apartment.

Drug Store
There is a drug store across the street so I was cured in about a week and no other roommates yet.  Plus it takes credit cards!!

Big Cooking Adventures
At the last place I made a cake, but no one else seemed interested in eating it and it lacked fluffy airy moist yum factor.  It was moist but bit too dense the recipe was a basic white cake which I added cinnamon and nuts.  To the batter.  No picture do to out of rang phone and forgot to use my laptop camera.

Food Truck Opening,  they had booths and trucks.  Everything looked very professional and high end food trucks.  I had the traditional crepe for USD $2.90 it was delicious!

I am so tempted to go tonight to get another crepe.  MMmm.

There is a nice bread bakery across the street from me that sells different flour.  I'm going to have to experiment on this one for a good idea.  My favorite habit for bread is to add cheese but this time I think I'll try honey or something earthy.

Today's Cooking

March 12, 2017 :  Coffee and a dewy morning.  It was raining early this morning, now nice and sunny.   Later I'll have oatmeal and brown sugar.  I noticed in the Latin culture were I lived in South Florida, brown sugar was preferred.  Not so much here.  It is cheaper and sold in a larger bag then the white sugar but not noticed as table sugar as in the island communitee of Latinos.

March 11, 2017 : Left Overs  Pasta saute with garlic, ripe tomato, spinach and dollops of mozzarella.   Also in the frig is a vegetable chicken soup.  Since I'm in South America I do boil the water first prior to making the soup.  In a large deep skillet I saute the onions, celery and chicken (2 chicken thighs) together then add carrots, spinach and the water to boil briefly then simmer with salt a touch of chicken billion powder.  Simmer then enjoy.

March 8, 2015      Was 2 egg omelette with mozzarella cheeses and saute onions folded in.  Then pretty much the same for a late lunch early dinner but with jelly toast and no cheese and onions.

My Splurge
I bought a $7.00 USD boxed white wine.  It's from Argentina. I think it's pretty good for the price and easy to fit in my bag, since I walk to the market and up 5 flights of stairs.

Food Truck Project
There is a food truck station moving in.    I was thinking of selling something, but after seeing it looks a bit out of my league.  Very professional.

Recipe Competition  In the mean time I am doing recipe contests here is the website.

Goal For Today
Finish this webpage design.   Post photos of my fav foods so far and link my AVON site.  Surf the web for someone who makes commission for helping selling ads.  Lastly borrow money to buy the printer and think of more ways to make money.

Personal Insight
Need to work on doing my yoga and meditation.   This place reminds me of love ones that died and I have been feeling sad and angry.  I have been trying to sue the predator that caused their hurt and death but so far too much nepotism is what they told me.

March 8, 2014  Still no yoga doing but i will today.  Goals:  There is an egg and beet recipe I am going to do.  That and a big pot of soup to last me till next pay day.  It will help inspire ideas for cooking contests for submitting recipes for award winnings.   I have a bunch of letters to write and a little scarred as to how much it is going to cost me in stamps to mail them.  I think stamps cost more here in Ecuador then USA.
